Encouraging Scriptures for Moms: Verses for Fear, Wisdom and Strength

Being a Mama is one of the most rewarding roles I’ve been given, but it’s also one of the hardest. There are moments when motherhood feels natural—like when my children are hurt or need extra love and attention. But most of the time, I’m constantly questioning if I’m doing it right. Are my girls learning enough? What can I do better? It’s during these moments of doubt and worry that I find encouragement in the scriptures and through prayer.

Turning to the Word of God and prayer brings peace and quiets the lies the enemy tries to whisper. The truth is, we are good Mamas. If we’re concerned about doing a good job, it likely means we already are. We care deeply. We love our children unconditionally, and that’s what truly matters. Every parent and mother raises their children in their own way, but as mothers, we are called to love them and seek guidance from God. God gave you, Mama, these children because He wanted you to raise them. He knows you have the exact gifts and love that your children need. Rest assured, you are doing a wonderful job, Mama.

Even with this truth, there will still be times when anxiety, worries, and fears creep in. Keep reading below for scriptures to read and speak over yourself during these moments.

I encourage you to pray these scriptures and write them down on note cards. I keep little scripture notes in my bathroom and on my refrigerator—verses that I speak over myself and the prayers I have for my kids. This is a simple yet powerful way to combat the enemy’s attacks and to help you memorize and declare God’s promises.

No matter what challenges you face as a mom, remember that you have a Heavenly Father who loves and cares for you just as deeply as you do for your children. Trust in Him on the tough days and lean on Him when you feel you can’t go on. He will sustain you and guide you through every moment.
